This is, I believe, the first time I myself ever drew my Mega Man character, Tanuki Man. There was a prior commissioned piece of him when he was just supposed to be an alt design for me, but when it came time to actually do some writing with him, I jotted down some quick sketches and this is the first one. Over time, the character has diverged further and further from myself, though really, as soon as I wrote the first words of his character sheet, he became his own character. Nonetheless- when I eventually get back to work on the game project, he's going to get a design overhaul that cuts out most of the purple, and he's going to get a name very distinct from Mega Man naming conventions. The whole project will be its own thing.
