A constant in my works is that I absolutely love weird little shape-type guys. Cactuars from Final Fantasy, Patapons, IKEA creatures, I love them. This is an early doodle of the Gigantuar, a hidden boss in many Final Fantasy games. Unlike his smaller Cactuar cousins, he has a fancy 'stache and is much bigger. I believe the background on this is stolen from Final Fantasy 6 or something. I didn't make it.
