i gotta be honest, this story mostly speaks for itself. the title isn't really a reference to anything, it's just about people being good to each other even though society would view them as low class. ari was not an OC of mine in any real sense, but a character I came up with for this story. proud of myself for figuring out a really terrible and dehumanizing serial number format i guess. if this story has any larger purpose in the story of the anthology, it's about showing neo arcadia getting more fashy towards the reploids it relies on for labor.
this story is based on the feeling of going to this one friend's place to smoke weed and be spiritually rejuvenated. we watched a bunch of better call saul one time, so i named the humans in this story after characters from the show, though it's an entirely superficial reference.
"robot tries to smoke weed" sounds funny but i tried to take it seriously. emphasize that it's a really kind moment on the part of the humans.
oh yeah also i imply that the limited lifespan law is back in effect by this time ("this time" being somewhere ambiguously before the elf wars, implying shit was bad even before them)
