This kinda speaks for itself, i think. just a weird story that you can take or leave. in bnw, we had a less formal format called the "comms channel". basically, in lieu of complex scenes, you could just have characters interact solely through dialogue, by writing text transcripts in designated chats, which were implied to be transcripts of a globally accessible voice chat medium. the advantage is that they're really fast and breezy to write. all of the intermissions were written using this paradigm, but only this intermission directly replicates the syntax (for the most part)
the italicized descriptors were novel, though. a necessity.
